Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog where I share my experiences of teaching English as a second language in Thailand. Thailand is an amazing country with so much to offer, from its stunning beaches and temples to its delicious food and friendly people. I have been teaching English here for over a year now and I love it!

Teaching English in Thailand is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to travel, learn about a new culture, and make a difference in the lives of others. There are many types of teaching jobs available, such as public schools, private language schools, private lessons, international schools, and universities. Depending on your qualifications and preferences, you can find a job that suits you best.

The average salary for teaching English in Thailand is around $1,000 USD per month, which may not sound like much, but it goes a long way in this country where the cost of living is low. You can also enjoy some benefits like free housing, visa assistance, health insurance, and free lunch at school. Plus, you get to explore this beautiful country on your weekends and holidays!

If you are interested in teaching English in Thailand, you will need to meet some requirements. The most important one is to have a TEFL certification, which is a course that teaches you how to teach English effectively. You can take a TEFL course online or in person, either in your home country or in Thailand. Having a TEFL certification will make you more qualified and competitive for teaching jobs.

You will also need to have a bachelor's degree in any subject, a passport from an English-speaking country, and a clean criminal record. Some schools may also ask for prior teaching experience or a degree in education, but these are not mandatory for most jobs. The main thing is to have a passion for teaching and learning!

Teaching English in Thailand has been one of the best decisions of my life. I have learned so much from my students and colleagues, and I have made some lifelong friends along the way. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have an adventure and make a positive impact on the world.
